The time has arrived for your great birthday bash, or wedding night, or maybe a random fun house party with friends. While you may be familiar with how many snacks you need to buy, what doors to keep locked, and what drinks to get, it’s your first time renting a photo booth. What should you do to make sure that the photo booth experience is fun and safe? Based on our past experiences, we recommend the following steps to make your night with a photo booth that much more fun.
Choose the Position Carefully
As much as love parties where the photo booth is the center of attention, that doesn’t mean it should be in the middle of the room. Guests are going to be moving around a lot, looking for their friends, and spilling their drinks (and only spilling their drinks if you’re lucky). At the same time, keeping your photo booth completely out of the way is a great way of having nobody find out about it. Figure out where the balance is for your party!
Brainstorm Props!
Props are a huge component of photo booths these days. You and your guests can dress up like a pirate, a mustachioed detective, or a talking horse with wings. Props not only allow you to be creative but are a good way of persuading your more camera shy attendants to take some photos. The weirder props you have, the better they’ll be. Make sure you don’t bring out something that could make a mess.
Get Ready to Use It
Chances are, many of your guests are going to be hesitant on using the photo booth at first. It’s not something they’re used to. While your photo booth attendant will help you with encouraging people to use it, the call will carry to deaf ears if you don’t jump in yourself. Why should they use it when you, the person who rented the photo booth in the first place, are not using it either? Gather up your more extroverted friends and prepare for a photoshoot of the lifetime.
